Attention to laying bricks for river slope protection

River slope protection bricks are a type of brick material made of concrete, ordinary concrete, cement, clay, ceramics, steam aerated concrete, fly ash and other materials. They are building materials used to protect riverbanks and embankments from soil erosion. They are generally designed as hollow structures for planting lawns. So what should be paid attention to when laying river slope protection bricks?
Before laying the slope protection bricks, it is necessary to check the reserved dimensions between the concrete strips and surface filter materials around the working face to ensure that the water conservancy slope protection bricks are on the same plane as the top of the ground.
When transporting slope protection bricks, 1-2 wooden slides should be laid under the filter material with a width of not less than 1.0m at the top of the embankment slope, and then transported along the slope protection bricks. The sliding of the board to the ground can ensure that the filter layer is not damaged and reduce the loss of cement bricks.
3. The line should be suspended on both horizontal and vertical planes to ensure smooth laying. That is to say, when laying river slope protection bricks, it is not advisable to hang them in a straight line, and they should be laid line by line from the foot of the slope. Hang two horizontal lines, keeping rows on the same plane to avoid collisions.
After the laying is completed, the side joints should be treated. After placing each river slope protection brick on the working face, it is inevitable that there will be varying degrees of gaps between the slope and the strip (especially curved slopes). If the size of the side seam is greater than or equal to 1/2 brick, first use hydraulic bricks to repair it, and then fill the surface with 1:1 cement mortar; If the size of the side seam is less than 1/2 brick, fill it with 1:1 cement mortar.
In many engineering projects today, river slope protection bricks are used to prevent mudslides, soil erosion, wind and sand fixation. It is necessary to use them in environments such as sandstorms in the northwest region.
