Laying method of hydraulic slope protection bricks

Among the numerous slope protection projects in China, the utilization rate of hydraulic slope protection bricks is quite high, and the projects involved are also quite extensive, such as high-speed railway slope protection, high-speed slope protection, mountain slope protection, tunnel slope protection, etc. Although the slope protection construction plans for each unique area are slightly different, they are generally similar.
Hydraulic slope protection bricks are mainly produced by pouring square slope protection molds. The main materials for molds are polypropylene plastic and steel, which can be selected appropriately based on actual construction experience.
So, what is the specific construction process for using hydraulic slope protection bricks to pave roads? There are two methods available.

Hydraulic slope protection bricks

Method 1: Overall slope design and measurement layout
1、 Develop an overall design plan for the actual structure of the slope protection, and measure the relevant dimensions specifically, including the size of the on-site construction site, the size of the hydraulic slope protection bricks, and the size of the semi hydraulic slope protection bricks required for corners. The measurement and layout use a theodolite, with a 2c error of less than 30 and a vertical error of less than 1. Determine the pile position using the designated on-site slope protection axis focus and control the error coefficient as much as possible.
2、 Slope cleaning and pit filling
Due to the direct impact of the horizontal height of the slope on the paving effect of hydraulic slope protection bricks, it is necessary to clean up the debris related to the slope protection surface before construction. When encountering potholes, they must be filled in. The basic construction requirement is that there are no tree roots, rocks, or other related debris on the slope.
3、 Earthwork excavation and slope protection foundation construction
Earthwork excavation mainly revolves around several foot slots, drainage slots, and capping slots. It can be accurately excavated through manual means. If there is a local collapse phenomenon, it should be controlled and planned, and filled with lining. After the excavation of the foundation trench is qualified, immediately pour the slope protection base and fix the laying base points.
4、 Specific laying of hydraulic slope protection bricks
Before laying, the geotextile is selected as the basis for laying, and then construction measurement and layout are carried out to control the laying accuracy and quantity. A control section is arranged every 20 meters for reasonable laying. If the size of the bricks is appropriate, only one lining master and two workers need to cooperate in laying.
Method 2: Specific Methods for Hydraulic Slope Protection Bricks
(1) Before laying bricks, it is necessary to ensure that the reserved dimensions between the concrete strips around the working surface and the ground filter material are checked to ensure that the bricks are on the same plane as the top of the bricks.
(2) During transportation, 1-2 plank roads with a width of not less than 1.0m should be laid along the filter material on the top strip of the embankment, and then the bricks should be transported to the road surface along the plank roads. That is to ensure that the filter layer is not damaged and reduce the loss of cement bricks.
(3) To control the flatness, the line should be hung on both horizontal and vertical planes. When laying hydraulic hydraulic slope protection bricks, vertical lines should not be hung, and the line should be laid from the toe of the ground upwards. Hang two horizontal lines to keep each row on the same plane and avoid collisions.
(4) Side seam treatment: After the laying of hydraulic slope protection bricks on the working face, there will inevitably be varying degrees of gaps between the slope and the strip (especially the curved section slope). If the size of the side seam is greater than or equal to 1/2 of the brick, please first use repaired cementitious bricks, and then fill the surface with 1:1 cement mortar; If the size of the side seam is less than 1/2 brick, fill it with 1:1 cement mortar.
It should be noted that when hydraulic slope protection bricks or other cement bricks are actually used for slope protection laying, they need to be tightly connected and integrated from top to bottom and from outside to inside. Do not stack or float plugs, keep the slope surface flat and beautiful.
